She rose steadily through the ranks of sergeant\, lieutenant\, captain\, and deputy inspector.  \n\n \n\nShe retired from the Milwaukee Police Department in September 2007 and was sworn in as the 6thChief of Police of the Menomonee Falls Police Department on October 1\, 2007.  \n\n \n\nChief Ruzinski has had ties to the community for over 20 years\, and is an active member of the St. Anthony Parish.\n\n \n\nChief Ruzinski has instituted several new programs since becoming chief and believes in a philosophy of community and problem oriented policing.
